Our one-year Supported Employment Programme began in 2024 and comprises classroom-based learning and on-the-job training during work experience placements.
Pre-employment skills development:
- Work and skills training, including Travel Training and Basic First Aid Training
- Job-specific training e.g. Manual Handling, Barista Training, Money Management
- Career/education guidance
Tailored support for jobseekers:
- CV-building, job-searching and interview skills training
- Supported work experience and identifying employment opportunities
Support for people in employment:
- On-the-job coaching until the new employee is comfortable to work independently
- Building skills and confidence
- Establishing reasonable accommodations
- Overcoming employment barriers
Support for employers:
- Disability awareness training
- Workplace accessibility and reasonable accommodations
- Recruitment and retention strategies
